Darwin Walk

The Darwin Walk is ....

... an original memorial to a unique individual. Erasmus Darwin (1731-1802). From 1756 to 1781 Erasmus lived in Lichfield and In 1985 the late John Sanders, a vice-president of the Lichfield Civic Society, had the idea of creating a 10 mile walk encircling the city to commemorate Erasmus Darwin's association with Lichfield.

  • Widdershins Walk 22nd October 2023

    The next walk will be the Widdershins Walk on Sunday 22nd. October 2023 and takes the anticlockwise route of the walk.  We follow the established route which is approximately 8 miles and takes about 3 and 1/2 hours. (Bring your own refreshments)
    Walks start at 10 am from Bunkers Hill Car Park in Beacon Park WS13 6RA

  • Boxing Day Walk 26th December 2023

    Our traditional Boxing Day Walk. Walk off those Christmas Calories, approximately 8 miles and 3 and 1/2 hours. (Bring your own refreshments).

    Our walk starts at 10 am from Bunkers Hill Car Park in Beacon Park WS13 6RA.
